Chicago's own Kayo is one of the many reasons to salute to surge of Chicago artists that are out here betting on themselves. Perhaps some kids that can relate and needs an example on expressing themselves similar to Kayo in his debut album. It can be the kind of motivation that someone near and dear to him needed to keep going on their mission. Most importantly, it can be exactly what he needed just to tell himself that he did it. It Was Fun While It Lasted is Kayo's inaugural album. He shared the single 'Make it Real' with Morgan Gold before going all in on the 12-track offering. The album features familiar names coming from out of Chicago such as Ausar, femdot, Senite, St. Sabina Youth Choir, Elijah Leflore, and plenty more.
So many words ready to move you at once. With tracks like the intro 'It Ends in Disaster', 'Grandma's Boy' & 'When I Grow Up', you can catch wind of Kayo's journey thus far. It Was Fun While It Lasted was Executed Produced by Michael Pfleger, Darion Washington, and Lugman Muhammad. It was Mixed & Mastered by Ro Marsalis at Feature Form Studios.
