Pittsburgh's own Mac Miller’s estate has released Balloonerism, his second posthumous album following Circles. Both albums were created during Mac’s lifetime and stand as projects that he and his fans can be proud of.
Balloonerism was crafted around the same period as Faces, widely regarded as Mac’s best work. The first single from the album, "5 Dollar Pony Rides," features production assistance from his friend and longtime collaborator Thundercat. Mac handled much of the production himself under the alias Larry Fisherman, while also contributing a feature as Delusional Thomas, another of his creative personas. The album also includes a standout collaboration with SZA on the track "DJ’s Chord Organ." This September 2025 marks seven years since Mac’s untimely passing. His impact as an artist and human being continues to resonate deeply with those who knew him and those who cherish the art he left behind. May his legacy endure through his music and boundless creativity. Mac’s dedication to his craft and artistic growth will never be forgotten. Stream Balloonerism on your preferred platform, and make sure to spread the NOiZE.
