Seattle R&B artist UMI recently announced her tour for her upcoming album, Forest in the City. The tour is of the same title and kicks of in her hometown on May 28.
In light of the album/tour announcement, she shares her single 'sorry', which stems from the upcoming album. “I chose this to be the first single, because I feel self-forgiveness is the first step towards inner peace,” UMI said. “I wanted to remind those who listen that it’s okay to be growing through self doubt or learning to love yourself. The first step is simply acceptance, and that’s what “sorry” means to me. The acceptance of my flaws, my desires, and a promise of self love. That’s how I began to return to my forest.” The depth of the song is what helps me gravitate towards her melodic approach to her artistry. It was a good introduction to her craft, and now I'm tune in for the release of the upcoming album. Forest in the City will be available for listeners across major DSPs in May. Check out her upcoming tour dates below. A Chicago date of June 29 is set with a live performance from UMI at Lincoln Hall.
Spread the NOiZE and tune in to the visual to 'sorry' below. If you're rocking with the single, be sure to pre-save the upcoming album. You will be able to strea/download the single in the pre-save as well.
