Akonixx releases the visual to his track 'Star Wars', directed by him and filmed by Cain Camacho

Chicago artist Akonixx releases the visual to 'Star Wars' ​in a futuristic fashion. The single was shared through Roc Nation's distribution company Equity, leaving the single up aroud 55k streaming and booming. 

Akonixx gets in tune with the force of within his new single and track.“When I got the beat it just sounded like the future… it sounds like outer space. That’s the only place I could take the record. It’s not vintage and it’s not modern it’s literally light years ahead of us. They finally cast a black lead in the Star Wars films, so I wanted to take my perception of blackness and douse it in Star Wars. The video treatment was created literally the same night the record was born...in a galaxy far far away," Says Akonixx 

His obsession with Star Wars as a child only furthered the concept, providing a song and video that complement each other in tonality and star wars fandom. The beat sits at a mid-range tempo, creating space and atmosphere with reverb-induced synths and vocals that introduce the track, and continue as the bass shakes overtaking the low-range frequencies.

Hi-hats drive the track forward rhythmically, as AKONIxx sits right in the pocket. The video itself creates a futuristic illusion as coloration tints the world around him in vibrant hues. All the while AKONIxx trains for the inevitable battle between good and evil. The visual was directed by AKONIxx himself, and filmed by Cain Camacho.
