A.S.T.A.T.E. or A Story Told About True Events (Malcolm Worsham) of Stuttgart, Arkansas, drops a new record "One Day" produced by Boddy Beats, an upcoming Arkansas producer. A.S.T.A.T.E has been relentlessly been working on his long-awaited debut project due later this year . He states that âcoming from a town with a population of 9,000 people in Southeast Arkansas to gaining opportunities to build his fan base in thriving cities from Los Angeles to Atlanta, etc., an authentic story needs to be told.â
Telling the right story is what A.S.T.A.T.E. is about. A.S.T.A.T.E. or A STORY TOLD ABOUT TRUE EVENTS, looks to tell a different kind of story by using his music as a lens for listeners to paint a picture. Coming from a town and state that in most parts are still racially bias to minorities looking to gain career opportunities and education , A.S.T.A.T.E. wants to deliver hope to the next generation about following through with their vision. One Day paints the picture of the typical low-income poverty and problematic issues that occur in his environment such as hustling, gang-banging, violence, and racial tension that he sees everyday and how he is willing to martyr to make a change for his community.
A.S.T.A.T.E. takes his own experiences before moving from Arkansas to Baltimore, MD to start his professional music career and how he is maneuvering through the street games and hustles that look to compromise the inspiring young leaderâs honor and integrity daily. A.S.T.A.T.E., along with many other rappers, is influenced by legends such as 2Pac, Jay-Z, Nas, Snoop Dogg,, Al Green, The Isley Brothers, Master P, Nipsey Hussle, T.I., Kurt Cobain, Rick Ross, Big K.R.I.T., and more. This raw and unique talent has taken him many places. In 2010, A.S.T.A.T.E. was chosen as the runner-up in the Teen Hip-Hop competition on BET's 106 & Park. He later interned for the network in Los Angeles, California, working with original programming and communications in 2014. âI admire the process that makes a person aspire to be a student of the game to one-day being an executive. It's all in the process, putting in the hours and paying your dues. Youâll get the rights to the respect when youâre gone and build your craft. I think people will relate to my message. Control the pages you write in your story. Everything is in preparation so you know where the start and finish line is, but how you are preparing?â To hear more and stay connected with this story, follow A.S.T.A.T.E.âs life and music through the social media handles below.
