Versatile Boston MC Austin Fair drops another progressive project in Dead Roses
If you've read any of my writing before, you know I'm a huge fan of Austin Fair. It's so easy for me to review his music as I always connect to it in a deep way. I was overwhelmed with his debut album Everlasting, and had no idea he'd drop another full length just a month after it's release. Well, here it is - Dead Roses. On the first track Loose Ends Austin mentions that he's setting trends which couldn't be more accurate. He switches up his sound on every release - but it's never for kicks and giggles. He is progressing as an artist and person - and you can hear it through his music. This is a bit of a dark and moody project, but it's meant to be. Austin always does a great job of sharing his current state of mind without sounding dry or redundant.
He's developed his R&B skills even further on Dead Roses, and you'll hear it from the jump. As always he grabbed Humbeats for a good portion of the production, but also linked with other skilled beatsmiths such as Hetriks and Joostan. This is another impressive project from Austin, and I recommend you stream below.
