Big Sean dropped his heavy-hitting mixtape Detroit on September 5, 2012 under G.O.O.D Music and Def Jam labels. The project was a full ode to his hometown Detroit, Michigan and a staple early in Big Sean's career. Producers such as Don Cannon, Lex Luger, and i-Boy all chimed in for incredible production.
Standout tracks from the project includes "Mula" featuring French Montana, "24k of Gold" featuring J.Cole, and "FFOE". In my opinion, this is still Big Sean's best project and the tape the cemented him as a star rapper in the game. It did a great job capturing Sean's hunger and how hard he goes for his city.
