Chicago's D2X grabs Yikes Beats for his new (and first) freestyle 4AM

Quite honestly it's difficult for me to be impressed by a freestyle. I've heard so many great ones in my lifetime, most prominent in the early 2000's. At this point in time, the term "freestyle" has lost its true meaning. That being said, I wasn't sure what to expect when I hit play on D2X's newest freestyle 4AM. I was pleasantly surprised after the 2 minute airtime.

4AM is (sonically) updated, but doesn't stick to the current trends. Yikes Beats provides the heart racing beat while D2X waxes poetics about everything from his perseverance in the game, to keeping his circle tight. D is in attack mode, and doesn't hesitate with the bars or double time flow. Stream below.
