Da Baby and Megan thee Stallion continues to push for a great 2019.
Megan The Stallion and Da Baby is on the rise in the game. They jumped in the game under no one's stamp but their own. It's been a little under a year for them growing in to a household name. In that time period, they've been taking advantage of every moment. The two of them even combined forces on Megan's latest album 'Fever'.
What makes the two of them so potent in the game is where they're from and the persona they bring to the table. Da Baby, from Charlotte, North Carolina, has been notorious for his 'bout it, bout it' antics and sharp marketing skills. Da Baby even received a co-sign from another Carolina native, J.Cole. He came in the game with his project Blank Blank, consisting of the tracks Next Song and Best Friend.
It seems as if he knows the right placing for his songs and visuals, keeping viewers entertained. His tracks like Walker Texas Ranger and Suge came with a different type of wave for the videos. Da Baby is showing he's about business throughout his progress. We even seen him walk around in a diaper to let the people know he's 'Da Baby'. As long as it works for him.
The 'Suge' visual is just as successful as the single. I felt like it gave the game something we haven't seen since the Ludacris era with videos. Genuinely entertaining content is always appreciated.
Megan Thee Stallion, repping Houston, dubs herself as the 'Houston Hottie'. The Texas native is watching her brand build itself with a solid 'Hottie' fanbase. Her intimidating beauty, fierce lyrics, and warming approach mirrors everything she stands for.
She caught static with her single 'Big Ol Freak', and hasn't looked back since. The single broke ground their her 2018 EP 'Tina Snow'. Big ups to her lining herself up with some legends hailing from Houston. She has the path to be the next one to do it big from H-Town. She already called herself the female Pimp C. Her album 'Fever' is currently spend time in top 10 of the Billboard 200. Right along with it is Da Baby's 'Baby on Baby' album, up three spots at number seven on the charts. Megan worked her way well in to a nomination for best female Hip-Hop artist at the BET Awards. Megan is currently enrolled in school, performing on the road, charting, and vowing to help the environment. She's set to have the summer on lock with the Hot Girl Summer wave coming up. Every moves she seems to make, the people eats it alive. Honestly, I'm enjoying every moment of it.
I have to give my respect to artist like Megan and Da Baby. Their marketing is what's propelling them forward. They have entertaining rollouts and visuals to their work, and they have the right type of pouring support. In their lane, they're in demand and command. You can have your opinions on their ways, but the authenticity and effectiveness outweighs it in the end.
If you can maintain the wave over the summer, that's how you know that you're it. In my opinion, I feel both artists are in position to claim the rest of the year and so forth. Right now, they're looking like Hip-Hop's viewer choice.
