Dizzy Wright comes back with part 2 of his popular Golden Age Series
Dizzy Wright’s label Funk Volume is no more, but that hasn’t stopped him from delivering Golden Age 2. I adored the first one, which dropped all the way back in 2013. Hip hop done changed in the last 4 years, and Dizzy has altered his sound, but not significantly. He continues to stay true to himself and the music he wants to create.
The biggest upgrade is the production from the likes of Austin Sexton, Alex Lustig, FreezeOnTheBeat and many more. Golden Age 2 contains a health mix of trap flavored beats, R&B slow jams, and more abstract instrumentals. The features are on point - my favorite coming from BIG K.R.I.T. and Euroz. While I am partial to the first on the series, I can still appreciate his progression as an MC.
