By: GroovNuke #TrustThePlatform. We all have aspirations to make it big. This is something that I understand. This is something that drives me throughout my process of being a journalist. These days most people try to swing for the fence on their hopes of making it. While some do hit big off a one hit wonder, not everyone has that same luck as an artist or creator. Spectators always focus on the outcome rather than what it takes to get over the hump. In this potent social media era, support comes from all over. If your music is popping enough, people from all over can access it in a matter of a click. You can submit your music to many blogs, actually trying to push content, or you can "Aye bro, here's my song link" your followers to death. It's however you want to make it. Just be careful about how many "Yes men" you're trying to attract. Get proper feedback, and make strategic moves with your drops and get them in the right hands. The right track popping off takes matter of setting. If you think that certain track is the one, then it's a matter of where you're trying to take it. Stop just dropping tracks off to your followers, where can they possibly take it? Some won't even give you the time of day. Reach out, connect to your local blogs. Work with people who can give you some type of backing. Local blogs (such as yours truly) provide a backbone that can't be provided anywhere else. If you're local, why not link up with a surrounding local platform? On your way to your next level, support from your local blog is the key to achieving in and out of your city. Trust your local platform. Sometimes support is best when it's felt in the physical. Local platforms can provide you with a venue, instant connections, radio air-time, and a lifelong network. Get your tracks some airtime, give the city a chance for homegrown artists to run our airways again. Don't you know, we're a certified stepping stone for that? If you don't know, now you know. Use your local platforms to hold it down in your city. Take care of home before you venture out to places you don't even know you can thrive in for real. If you can make at home, you can make it anywhere. Make sure if you're rising out of the city to stamp it. A lot of people wont give credit when it's due. That's why if you make sure your roots are tight, then you got all the validation you need in your own city. Make sure you're marketable out here. Your image is everything on the way up. Remain approachable and genuinely connect with platforms. If you look like you can conduct yourself in professional manner, platforms will be eager to work with you. Proper communication can and will take you far. Remember when you interact with a blog trying to give you a voice across the city, you should conduct yourself as such. Also, when dealing with local platforms remain humble. We just want to help you and go on with life. We're not just bloggers we're people with proper decision making skills. The type of decisions can lead to a great assist going forward. Maybe we can't get to every drop that you have. Maybe we felt this drop wasn't suitable for the moment. That's alright just don't stop working. If we miss a drop, it's not the end of the world or a connection. If we post an artist that you so happen to not have the best words for, keep that over there. That has nothing to do with me, the rest of the team, or the rest of the local platforms. Come through with good approach to members of the platform staff. We only get one first impression. Your support to us matters just as much as our support to you. Maintain proper interaction and a connection will grow from there. When we post or back you up, that's genuine. The world spins regardless and there's plenty of artists who would be grateful for that same spot you may downplay. That's just a little food for thought. Build up the level of trust the right way. Don't look at a platform for support for you and only you. This is a team effort, whether differences appear against two creators or not. The catch is, we're all just an image when you're outside looking in. Who likes a bad image? We work to find the new, rising voices throughout the city and on. That should count for something if you're trusting a platform. An opportunity to premier across your city via a local platform is one that should never be taken lightly.
Take it like this: Our power is yours, and your power is ours. Let us help you, and help us showcase gifted ability. We're here to put your story on display. Wish you all the best just remember on this path it's a test of strength and endurance. Never turn your back on the local support. (This is not a matter of generalizing the come up, this is coming from a local too. Bless up.)
