After almost a year hiatus, I've decided to start back showing my love for the classic mixtape/EP era. I've decided to highlight a project that came near the tail end of this time.
Isaiah Rashad dropped off his debut project Cilvia Demo in January 2014. In his debut he introduced the world to his southern influence, coping mechanisms, and much more throughout the extended play. He dropped the EP through his label, Top Dawg Entertainment. SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and more made an appearance on the project.
This album made the growth from Rashad, a Chattanooga native, that much noticeable. The TDE signee quest to share his story with the world was clear. He pays his southern homage on track like 'Webbie Flow' and 'R.I.P. Kevin Miller'. You can hear in his delivery on the project that he's deeply rooted and can easily be crowned as the hottest, youngest TDE lyrical mind.
This EP has found it's way on to Apple Music streaming services. Check out Cilvia Demo below.
