"Forward" is a well-crafted album that showcases St. Louis talent Jordan Ward's versatility as an artist. The production throughout the album is varied and very impressive, ranging from smooth and soulful beats to more upbeat and energetic tracks. The album features a number of guest appearances, including Ryan Trey, Gwen Bunn, Joyce Wrice, Lido and Joony who add their own unique styles to the mix.
One standout track is "FAMJAM4000," which features a funky upbeat rhythm, alongside a catchy hook that has an infectious groove. The track is a testament to Jordan Ward's eclectic sound and his ability to create memorable, radio-friendly songs that have depth and substance.
Another standout record on the album is "White Crocs," which features Ryan Trey another St. Louis native. This track is Fun, and bass-driven, with a tempo that anyone can vibe to with their Crocs on or Crocs off.
Overall, "Forward" is an impressive album that showcases Jordan Ward's skills as a rapper, singer, and songwriter. The production is top-notch, the lyrics are thoughtful and engaging, and the album as a whole is a cohesive and enjoyable listening experience. R&B is in a great space and Jordan's career is only moving Forward.
Sidenote: After touring with Smino for his sold-out "Luv 4 Rent" tour. Jordan is currently on his own sold-out tour known as "Tourward," and he's set to hit the stage in Chicago at Reggies Rock Club on Tuesday, May 9th.
