By: BekoeGoogle Executive and Lupe Fiasco Comes Together To Help Chicago Communities. Google Executive and Chicago's hiphop enthusiast Lupe Fiasco connect to bring entrepreneurs in the Englewood and Lawndale area a chance at funding their ideas. As the Chicago Tribune states, "Englewood and Lawndale were part of the June expansion of the Neighborhood Start Fund, which identifies startups for investment in specific neighborhoods, and then reinvests profits into funds to fuel more startups from those communities." With this startup fund, Google and Lupe plans to create workshops for those that have ideas and pitches that range from new gadgets, recipes, technology, pretty much anything that has the potential to generate money. Those interested will have a chance at $5,000 - $100,000. Workshops will take place, Saturday, Aug. 13, at Englewood Accelerator (formerly EnglewoodBlue), 815 W. 63rd St., at 10 a.m. and in Lawndale at Firehouse Community Arts Center, 2111 S. Hamlin Ave., at 2 p.m. For more details click link below to read full story via Chicago Tribune.
