ATL artist RETRO keeps it funky in his new mixtape nine1

Getting in tune with RETRO simply as an artist was a welcoming surprise this afternoon. His new mixtape nine1 is so groovy that I couldn't help feeling energized. The multi-talented ATL artist got a formal education in old and new school R&B thanks to his older sisters, and developed a love for Michael Jackson and The Temptations.

"RETRO" is inspired by all genres of music, which he credits to his mother's diverse CD collection, and can easily be heard in nine1. No track is the same, and refreshingly explores funk, R&B, pop, and even elements of indie rock. It's 15 records of sonic bliss - all encompassing and beautiful.
