As time progress, interviews with illanoize radio keeps on getting better and better. In the latest episode, Bekoe, PrettyRiot and Illinois Jones had the pleasure of sitting down with Chicago legendary rap artist, radio personality and educator Teefa.
This was a conversation like no other for the team, the energy in the studio was electrifying and it definitely shows throughout this interview. Teefa opens up by giving a bit of her background history and how her rap career began around the age of 17 and how she became 1/2 of infamous Syndicate alongside another legendary Chicago heavy hitter, Shawnna. She also speaks about the history of the Chicago music industry and how it differs and how it's similar to this day. Throughout our latest episode, Teefa details her relationship with Kanye West as she was seen in the Netflix documentary, "Jeen-Yuhs." She provides us with the inside scoop on some of her favorite moments in her radio career, including her transition from WGCI to Power 92 and what ultimately led her to end her career as a radio personality. Although Teefa is no longer blessing the airwaves, she’s teaching the youth her blueprint in her role as an educator on the city’s south side. She's also been back in the studio putting together a new album and hints new music from Infamous Syndicate. This interview was full of laughs, transparency and timeless advice anyone in the entertainment industry can benefit from.
