By: Steve MainzerAfter a busy SXSW, The Boy Illinois continues to prove himself as one of the hottest out of Chicago with new "Othello" video directed by Ted TV. In Illi's latest freestyle produced by J. Mixx, he shows his lyrical prowess once again with bars throughout. He opens on the track, "Came from the underground, UGK style, keep your head up or put your face down." Known for cognitive lyrics and being the best dressed rapper in Chicago, the Chicago emcee holds this truth with more witty lines like "Go and get that money, then we put it to its uses, Barkley mid-range when I go and chuck the deuces, loafers put my shoes in." Illi dances with swag all around a snowy Chicago train track while he raps in his loafers and peacoat. He continues later in the track, "Fashionably late but always show up on schedule" proving the keen metaphors in his arsenal. With those quick bars, Illi shows his knack for providing effective wordplay throughout verses. #IlliSeason is in full effect, make sure to check him out closing the 'Taste of Chicago' on July 15th and peep the smooth new visual below.
