Vic Mensa delivers his new project 'I TAPE'

Chicago's Vic Mensa comes through with his latest body of work I TAPE.

One thing I like about Vic Mensa is his relentless approach to his artistry range. Through his early SaveMoney and INNANETAPE days, Mensa added perspective through his lines. Fast forward to this tape, you'll tap in to the other end of his musical spectrum.

​Much older, wiser, and as sharp as those days is Mensa on his 2021 release. A such sense of direction gave him a taste of everything good artistry has to offer. I TAPE gives a well-versed, aging feeling coming from Mensa. Bekoe spoke with him via Vocalo Radio recently to discuss the project and other musical endeavors. 

The way he could bring the past to the present and how he shapes it in a bar is second to none. The track 'Millionaires (ft. Tish Hyman)' is a good reference to that.
