Chicago’s favorite Media host, Vicki Street has finally revealed her hidden talent with music. From hosting events, inspiring the youth, and now spitting classical bars on modern beats, Vicki Street is proving that she is truly gifted. Vicki says that she was tired of listening to the same kind of music and she wanted to tell her story in a different spectrum.
“I came and said everything everybody was thinking in the matter of a pandemic. And that’s what I’m about to put on my project” Vicki Street says the pandemic gave her the time to focus on creating music. She is determined to keep Hip-Hop alive with being inspired by the early 2000’s Hip-Hip era with her single “Slique.” She takes us back to 106&Park days in the Slique video. “I’m trying to bring the fun back in Hip-Hop and give something to the youth to look forward to…” Vicki Street’s contemporary sound mixed with her nostalgic swag makes her unique to the Hip-Hop industry today. Not to mention, her infamous voice reminds us of a modern day MC Lyte. Check out the video to Slique here. Watch the full interview below!
