Why Do You Hate On Me? The Untold Story Of LeBron James Through The Eyes Of Illinois Jones

The "NBA" is a Drama/Action/Adventure series and like every drama/Action/Adventure series it needs a good bad guy for us to hate. (Small Reminder, I am Lebron James) 

Since my senior year in high school I've always been topic of conversation, rather thats good or bad. I've been dealing with media since i was 18, now that I'm 33 years old and things hasn't change, with how the media assassinates my character.

​Every time I turn on the TV or internet, LeBron James this LeBron James that. I wonder what a happen if, I farted in public and someone smelled it. It prolly would make breaking news on ESPN. What if I would've passed gas during a playoff game while posting up Terry Rozier, I know for a fact that would make CNN. 

Everybody compare to me Michael Jordan, some say I'm better some say I'm not. Same say I'm not even better than Kobe, I respect all that and everyone's opinion. I never wanted to be them, I wanted to be Allen Iverson growing up. Why don't I get compared to him, What he did in the 2001 "NBA Playoffs" is what I just did in the 2018 Playoffs. We Both took a team with C+ and D+ players to the NBA Finals, and the referees did to me what they did to him (let me shut up about the referees before they hit me with a tech and a pretty penny). 

I'm from Akron. I had to work hard to get where I'm at today, I'm blessed to be here. I represent my hometown, they look up to me. I motivate and inspired the inner city youth, and not just the kids in the ghetto of "Akron" but all over the world. They relate to me because I am one of them.

​A teenage mom, low income housing, welfare, moving house to house, sleeping on floors, sharing one bed with 4 or 5 cousins, and my father was a complete ghost. This is what built me, this is what fuels my fire, I never forgot where I came from. I was broker longer than I was rich. When it comes to basketball, I leave it all out there on the court. So Why Do You Hate On Me?

I been A1 since day one, I never disrespected anyone. I been humble and down to earth since day one. I'm one of the coolest guy's in the league, but y'all treat me like the bad guy. I haven't done anything for anyone to throw dirt on my name, and undermine my skills as a basketball player.

​Again I have to ask, Why Do You Hate On Me? Please tell me something, hopefully its something real. If I borrowed 5 dollars and never paid it back, here, come get it. For real just be honest you don't hate me, its a trend to be anti LeBron so you just doing something that you feel is cool, I get it.

Why Do You Hate On Me? Isn't because, I'm the last player to actually come out of High School and be great.

Why Do You Hate On Me?: Don't tell me you still mad about the Gold Hummer, Did I flex to hard?

Why Do You Hate On Me?: You mad about the jerseys I received for taking pictures, and you had to pay for yours.

Why Do You Hate On Me? Is it because of the 25 points, I scored my first game as rookie or winning Rookie Of The Year? You can say both.

Why Do You Hate On Me? Oh!!!! you mad I took my talents to South Beach and had a successful run.

Why Do You Hate On Me? Is it because I played 104 games this season and still kept a smile on my face.

Why Do You Hate On Me? Is it because I'm willing to take a pay cut out of my salary but collect off the luxury taxes so the team can get the players we need to be successful. 

Why Do You Hate On Me? Your probably still amazed at how I took a team of C+ and D+ players to the NBA Finals.

Why Do You Hate On Me? Prolly because none of my rings came with the help of a Shaq or Pippen.

Why Do You Hate On Me? You hoop too and your girl telling you, that you need too take care of your body like LeBron James.

Why Do You Hate On Me? I bet its that 1Billion Dollar deal I got with Nike. Shoo I can't blame you. I'll prolly hate me too.

I took the game of basketball to a higher level just like those who came before me, and those who'll come after me. I give this game my life during season and off season. I'm working on my game daily, developing as a player still at the age of 33 with 15yrs in the NBA under my belt. You can say what you want about me, you can love me or hate me but at the end of the day you gotta respect me.

You can mention Mike, or you can mention Kobe, but  after that you'll have to mention me. The difference between Mike, Kobe, and myself, they both are retired and their legacy is cemented, my cement hasn't even been mixed yet. I'm still playing which means, building my legacy is far from done. I sleep like a baby knowing I'm at the top of the food chain. Hate me or Love me, I love you all the same (You'll hate me for that too King James Out *Drops Mic*)
