Chicago's Ye Bandz drops his impressive debut EP
Loosies come a dime a dozen, but the true test of an artist is when he or she puts out a full length. Ye Bandz has been putting in that work, dropping street tales via SoundCloud and YouTube, building his discography until he felt it was time to drop his introduction to the world.
His debut, 4ThePPL, is finally here, and is his best work yet. Ye has upped the ante on his gritty depictions of life in Chicago, and his subsequent come up. The EP is dedicated to his brothers who have struggled due to street life. Ye has not only experienced loss, but conflict deep within himself. You’ll hear it from the jump, as intro No Love finds Ye reflecting on the friends who have deceived him. He realizes he should have never shown love in the first place, and questions if he should ever again. We get an inside look into Ye’s deepest thoughts on this EP, centered around one question: Should he stay in the streets, or dedicate his life to music? The saga will continue, as 4 The Ppl is just the first installment of this series.
